North American Cooking Tour 2009

This summer of 2009 Casa Felix will be returning to North America for it's second cooking tour. In Toronto, New York, Chicago, San Francisco, San Diego and Austin, we will be preparing 4 course tasting menu's with cocktails and wine in private homes for our friends and their guests.

-Toronto, May 20th to May 31st,

-New York, June 6th to June 21st,

-Chicago, June 25th to July 1st,

-San Francisco, July 7th to July 15th,

-San Diego, July 18th to August 31st

-Austin, August 3th to August 10th.

In trying to keep with our eco-gastronomic philosophy we will prepare local and indigenous products of each region using our South American cooking methods, techniques and recipes. In Toronto we want to make our bread with Red Fife wheat and support the Six Nations Indigenous Food Producers and Gatherers and in Chicago we might prepare a Peruvian inspired Tacu Tacu with Anishinaaberg hand harvested wild rice and sweeten our desserts with Chicago's urban honey producers. From Buenos Aires we are already beginning our search for interesting, local ingredients to incorporate into the meals in each city.
